Engagement Post...a little late.

I wanted to post this on May 13th but I was still on wisdom teeth drugs.

May 13th was the 2 year anniversary of Craig and I's engagement.

Thinking about that day makes me tear up, it was such a special day for us.

I feel like sometimes I get lost in the hustle and bustle of "everyday" life that I forget to remember the little things about our relationship that I love and have always loved since we very first started dating.

Some of those things are personal and I don't want to cheapen them by sharing them here but I will just say that I feel very very very blessed to have Craig as my eternal companion, my best friend, my shoulder to cry on, my partner in crime, my late night snacking buddy, my movie watching critic, and most of all - the absolute love of my life.

Loving Craig has made me into a better version of myself. He has taught me to love unconditionally, to be quick to forgive, to laugh at myself, and to be devoted to our relationship above all else. I am so thankful that 2 years ago we decided on forever, I couldn't have made a better decision.

Happy Sunday

I know the above quote is going around Pinterest and FB but it really made me think about how I treat people, both when I'm with them and when I'm not.

I have a few regrets from my high school years about the way I treated people. I know that I may have left a bad impression on some people...and if any of them read my blog, I AM SORRY. I could blame it on insecurity, immaturity, or lots of other factors, but the plain and simple fact is, I was wrong.

I've been much better since graduating from H.S. and I hope I can be a person that people can trust and count on.

Here's to perfection - no matter how long it takes!

Highlights

Highlights of the week were:

1. Getting in a minor accident. My poor car now has a battle wound that will go untouched since we don't feel like spending the $$$

2. Eating popcorn chicken AND mozzarella sticks. (I had my wisdom teeth out last Friday - solid food was kind of a big deal)

3. Going to a rodeo in Payson with Kenz and Logan and Craigers. Love date night adventures.

4. Press conference with Senator John McCain Friday morning.

5. Dancing this morning.

Nothing big to report, but life is GOOD...it could only be better if I were on some beach, somewhere.

The Family Room Post

So...it's pretty much set that we GOT THE HOUSE. Hooray.

Still in the "escrow" stage, but the loan is approved, we are just waiting on minute details and we will hopefully close in the next couple weeks.

What does that mean for me? That I spend approximately 4 hours a day dreaming about decorating our house...and then I pin things with no concern for any budget whatsoever.

I thought that to remind myself of the REALISTIC road I want to take with our house I'd just do a post a week on the general idea for each room...and then when I can actually decorate I'll only look at this post and not my pinterest board...let's just say I pin things for...not the starter home.

Living Room Color Palette - mostly brown and off white...with fun bright accent colors (teal, turquoise, green) I like brightness, makes me happy.

I'm lovin this teal hutch cabinet...

I have a few projects to do for this room...but I'm SO excited to get started. Give me the keys, I'm ready!!

I Miss Dance

It's only been 2 weeks and I already miss dance. It's not the dancing I miss so much as the people. That's one thing Alex and I agreed on - we knew we loved dance, but the dancing isn't the biggest part of why we love it. The biggest part is the relationships we build with our teachers, our students, and with our fellow dancers. Our dancing family really is the best.

Only 1 more week til we get back together again!!!

Longest title ever.

I started my new job this week. I am a Field Representative for a Congressional Campaign for a candidate that I have COMPLETE faith in. I LOVE what I'm doing...but it requires a LOT of hours - like the kind of hours where I never see anyone in my life, but it is awesome.

My Favorite Weekend

Dance classes are over for this year...but I still have rehearsal and three recitals to look forward to.

I am truly blessed to teach at the studio I do. There is a special spirit there that ties us together...when you dance with us, you dance with family. We love each other and we have so much fun doing what we love. I love every one of my students and I can't wait for next year, it only keeps getting better.

I didn't get pictures with all of my classes...we were kind of busy. :)

And yes, I am wearing the same shirt and different  hair in all the pictures. Don't judge.

My Sleeping Beauty class. Best quotes from this year include:

"Miss Keri, you smell good." -every week, thank you perfume
"I hurt my foot so I can't sit down." -riiiiight
"I went to Disneyland and I fell off the roller coaster." -I hope not.

This class is ADORABLE. And funny as you can see below.

They are so entertaining.

Preteen Tap/Jazz. We rock out in class and have dance parties sometimes, it's cool.

FLYGIRL Hiphop. Gettin crayyyyyy.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE this class. They are so happy and so fun and give me just enough attitude to keep me laughing.

Haha they make me laugh all the time. Sometimes I can't even talk I laugh so much.

Girl 1: "I'm sassy and I know it"

Entire class: "oooh, girl look at that body, I work out."

Yeah, they're 3 and 4.

This is my chatty class, we pretty much have the best convos ever. I love them because they love EVERYTHING.Anything I teach they love and compliment and they just make me remember how happy dancing makes us.
